Eterra Skid Steer 12 Volt Cab Heater - Fits all models - 12 Volt Only
Description
The Eterra Maradyne Cab Heater uses your existing cooling system to draw heat, and puts out 12,500 BTU. Our price includes the heater and 3 Speed switch kit with minimal wiring. An installation kit is sold separately which includes the hosing required and the common fittings used to install. Please check your block as our kit utilizes SAE threaded fittings, while many blocks use metric threads.
Installation
The installation kit is necessary to install the heater in your machine's cab. Please note that you are responsible for all wiring in your skid steer, this will include a hot/fused lead from your battery to the switch. You are then required to properly ground the base of the heater to insure a complete circuit to the fan motor.
You need to have some mechanical expertise to do this and we want you to understand that this will take you about 5 hours to install. There is no easy way to do this. You will need an open spot on the floor to mount the heater. You will then have to break into the cooling system and run the lines that you will supply to the sides of the heater. You have to allow for the extra length when you lift the cab up. Keep your eye on the prize because once you are done, you will be in a toasty cab as you plow the winter roads!
Looking for an easier (and cheaper) option to stay warm in your cab? Check out this Heated Seat Cover from Skid Steer Basics.
Warranty: The tube and fin water coil have a lifetime mfg. warranty, please see the Skid Steer Solutions warranty page for more about warranties on our products.
Important Notice: This heater is NOT for use on oil cooled units! This item is only designed for water cooled equipment. Please check your cooling system requirements prior to ordering.

At first I contemplated shipping this product back as includes ZERO instructions, a bag of random brass fittings (never ended up using), a black box labeled “heater”, a wiring harness, & a switch. I ended up having to resort to calling a diesel mechanic friend of mine who helped point out the optimal place to tie into the cooling system. I ended up deleting my coolant bypass line and tying in the heater that way. Some skid steers have distributor blocks you can tie into. A word of advice to anyone looking to purchase this heater is to find a good parts manual for your machine and study the cooling system to create a solid plan of attack, or know have a good mechanic buddy. For reference I installed this on a 2007 S175 Bobcat. Built a sheet metal bracket to mount the heater to the linkage plate on the floor of the cab. Heater puts out warm air in about 10mins of idle time & functions well. Just wish there was more documentation and some sort of helpful information such as a generic how to video.

Took a couple hrs to install but well worth it! Wish I had done this years ago. We really only use it on the low setting to avoid getting smoked out inside the cab.

Great heater, keeps my ASV RC50 warm. Fan is really loud in your ears. I had to mount behind head because of cab size. I wear my ear buds, problem solved!!

I did not install the heater in the Bobcat because of the lack of space in the cab and the instructions were very vague. I will have to fabricate a bracket to install and not sure that will even work. The hoses are going to be difficult to run also. I didn’t have time to install, so I mounted a portable Mr Heater in the cab and left for Arizona for the winter. I purchased the heater for my friend that removes snow when I am in AZ. So far a thumbs down on the review of this heater.

Hey Larry, Thanks for taking the time to write a review of the Skid Steer Cab Heater from Eterra, and we're glad it's been keeping you warm and comfortable! Sorry to hear the noise is annoying. Turning it down to medium after it warms up could help minimize this issue, but it is in the nature of a small enclosure that a heater would be a bit loud. Best of luck this winter, Skid Steer Solutions
