I bought these for backcountry skiing and have only used this summer so far. They are lightweight, fit great, and the photochromatic lenses are fantastic. My only complaint would be that the side shields don't stay in place. They flip back and forth in the gap between my temples and the arms of the glasses which is kind of annoying. I took them off since I won't need them till winter time.

Appreciate the great side coverage and ease of removing the side covers. Seem very sturdy and well designed, can’t wait to try them on the hill this winter.

These may be the best photo chromatic lenses I’ve ever owned. Remarkable clarity and contrast! Excellent coverage especially with the side visors. Wore them for the first time on a high alpine hike on the Colorado trail and they worked great. Could not be happier that I waited for them to be in stock.

Doesn’t get very dark, lens is still very transparent in bright sun. (Photochromic version)

I am in love with my Embarks. The Opal Mirror has a lower VLT rating which lets in more light, with a polarized brown lens. This is one thing that really sets it apart. I can wear them in full sun and they are equally good when the clouds move in or in lower light situations. The side shields do an excellent job cutting out glare without the need of heavily curved lenses which I find less appealing. Would gladly buy these again in a heartbeat!
