“My expectations were set really high by things I have heard from friends. I planned to use them for everyday use, but priority on performance while fishing. I liked how they fit, but two things led me to return them pretty quickly. First, there is very little light protection, which I think would be really helpful for small mountain, heavily shaded trout streams that I used to fish out east. But if you are out west on strong sunny days, they are not ideal. Next, I dont like how other people can see right through them and see your eyes. It makes a weird look that I did not appreciate.”

“Not sure what’s changed in the production process but here are a few things I’ve noted after recently purchasing my 3rd pair of these frames:
The Bad
- The Smith logo on the outside arms suddenly flaked off after 3 weeks
- The hinge springs are loose and don’t feel nearly as sturdy
The good
- The frame size are consistent with previous pairs
- The mirrored glass tech lite lenses are superb for clarity on the water
- Everyone who has tried them on are impressed by the color, clarity and detail, especially during bright summer days”
