They are lovely glasses. However, it’s disappointing that the piece at the end of each arm gets caught in my hair.

I’ve been wearing Guide’s Choice for years thanks to my partner, who is a fishing guide, who introduced me to them. I immediately understood why they were an indispensable tool for his work, the polarized lenses are crystal-clear, the frames are comfortable and the protection they provide your eyes are exactly what’s needed when you’re in the elements all day, every day. I have tried so many other brands, so many other styles, spent less money on cheaper, polarized compromises with the thought “I’m only going to destroy them, these will do” because I did destroy the lenses on a pair of Guide’s Choice, but it was a completely false economy to think I could have my “good glasses” and ones I knock around in. There are too many reasons why other glasses I’ve tried are just annoyingly insufficient in comparison, but basically it boils down to sheer comfort (they don’t feel like they’re going to fall off), the shape (no light leaks or internal reflections, so better visibility), way better clarity which help you really see those dark shapes in the water.

Lenses are excellent can really see into the water. Frame is lightweight and this may be the reason it has a bit of play in it. Seems like good quality for the money in today’s market.

I bought the polarized chromapop brown photochromic techlite glass and the green mirror versions for fishing the saltwater flats of the Bahamas this month. I was impressed with my ability to see bonefish afar. I have not noticed a significant change in varying light conditions with the photochromic lenses but most of my time was spent in bright light conditions. Our guide had costas in blue mirror so I may try the Guides in blue mirror next time as well. The frames looked good even on my smaller female head. They were not tight on my head which prevented headaches after a long day of wear. I used the included keeper leashes on them because I was worried they'd fall of while leaning forward. (they didn't)

This is my third pair of Guides Choice. They are sturdy, comfortable and have great clarity and eye protection.
