I tried what they recommended which was a paper clip. The paper clip quickly bent. I tried other tools but to no avail without feeling like I will break the frames. I reached back out to Smith customer service 2 more times, and they just ghosted me and will not respond. Never thought I’d get ghosted by Smith Optics.

Ordered the Matte Black + ChromaPop Black Lens at the beginning of the winter. The matte black lenses are great for sunny days and the clear lenses are great for night skiing. The sun shields are great for protecting the eyes. Some people have problems removing the sun shiels. I also encountered this. However, I found the best way is to poke them out, either with a small metal punch or something like the tip of a mechanical pencil. Have not tried the nose shield. I first experienced some fogging on a sunny day but some extra anti-fog on the lenses solved this. The major gripe I had with these glasses is the extra lenses I ordered for them. Ordered a pair of the Gold Photochromic lenses. The firs set that arrived was loose in the frame. When I put them in, the frame would click and there would be a small gap at the bottom. Smith allowed me to return the lenses and I ordered another set. This set had the same issue. I did not send them back because I wanted to use them. It appeared like the problem was because the lenses weren't cut probably on the bottom of the lense. I trimmed them with a pair of nail clippers. The fit is much better but not perfect. This fit issue could also be because the photochromic lenses are thinner than the normal chromapops. Regardless, they work great in various conditions, but for a $100 dollars lens, I shouldn't need to cut them. Besides the issue with the extra lenses, these glasses have been amazing for backcountry skiing and mountaineering.

In love with these glasses. Took a face plant trying to land a jump while snowboarding. Landed right on these glasses! To my amazement there wasn’t a scratch on the lens. Definitely recommend for those snowboarders who don’t care for googles but still want to protect your eyes from all the wind. The lens will fog up but I feel like all glasses and goggles do that so it isn’t a deal breaker. The strap on the back is a nice touch.

Cannot speak highly enough about these. After suffering an eye injury that has left me with photo sensitivity issues, the design of the Pursuit has allowed me to continue high output activity on and off snow. With the coverage they provide, the ventilation is on point in keeping the lens clear and the peripheral flaps keep down glare without entirely enclosing field of vision. Big thank you to Smith & Cody
