“Great all around glasses. So far have used for MTB (moderate fall temps), 1 early season light ski tour and lot's of Resort skiing. Great coverage and they fit my expansive head well :) . Little fogging , so far only when stopping after high exertion skiing in cold temps. Very little wind bleed at high speeds. Not the perfection solution for flat light but what is ? My Oakley Sutros i with the snow prism lense are marginally better in flat light but more wind bleed and too light of a tint when the sun comes out. Love that the photochromatic lense covers my need for darker lenses as it gets brighter ( bright light fatigues my sensitive eyes). There are a couple of design flaws- super hard to remove side shields, I just leave them on, and plastic temple ends scratch the inside of the lens when folded in the case ( they need soft rubber pad on the ends, put a chums or other retainer on immediately).”
“These glasses are pretty cool and functional, except for the durability of the magnetic side wings. Poor and flimsy design leads to a short-lived product. Unfortunately Smith doesn't send replacement parts, so the entire unit becomes landfill.”

“As many others have noted, the side pieces, noted as removable, are not well designed. After feeling how much resistance there was to removing these, I got on the horn with a Smith Customer Service Agent to ask for help. He told me that the tabs were durable and to apply pressure from the top and bottom to remove the pieces. Well the tab broke while on the chat, and the tab stayed inside the frame, which shows how tight that fit it. After carefully pounding an awl into the hole in the frame, I was finally able to get the broken tab out. Customer service, as always, was excellent and is sending me replacement side pieces. However, the main reason I got these glasses over the Wildcats, which I have had and loved, was because of the side pieces and being able to take them on and off as needed. It's hard for me to imagine those pieces going in and out more than a few times without breaking. It seems like these little tabs should have been metal.”
“I had high hopes for these, but the fit is just too large, and I've been wearing Smith sunglasses now for going on 20 years. The nosebridge/pad is especially disappointing; while it can be adjusted to splay inwards towards the lens, it will only adjust inwards to the size of the sunglass nose itself, meaning there is no way to tighten the nosepiece for a secure fit. When bending over, the glasses almost fall off my face. When skiing downhill, the glasses bump around my face. The fit is nowhere near secure enough to be compared to goggles or road cycling sunglasses. My previous Smiths, basically the version prior to the Attack, had a nosepiece that could be adjusted towards the nose. The Pursuits do not have this. As for the headband, even with it fully tightened, it hangs loosely at the back of my head, and is effectively useless. Even the headband is only for extra large heads. This is again disappointing as providing a headband to tighten across the back of the head should've been a no-brainer from Smith. I have a 57cm head size, which is by no means small, a classic Men's medium head fit. Why Smith did not design the Pursuit for average head size boggles me. It would've been much easier to ensure the Pursuit was fully adjustable to both larger and smaller head sizes. Instead, they've made a giant, clunky pair of very expensive sunglasses that do not have the tightening options to safely use these in alpine environments. I will look to return the pair.”
