I was a loyal user of Smith Optics, but my recent experience left me disappointed. The temple of my sunglasses broke unexpectedly, and Smith Optics refused to cover it under warranty. The response I got felt robotic and like a copy-paste template, offering no real support or solution. They also wouldn’t let me purchase replacement parts. It’s disappointing that such a large company doesn’t stand by their product’s durability or provide decent customer service. I’ll definitely be looking at other brands in the future, as you’re not getting the support you deserve for what you pay.

A solid pair of sunglasses! They fit great and the lenses are so easy to switch out with the magnet feature. I have worn these with multiple different SMITH helmets and they work with all of them (Network, Triad, Trace).

The design is beautiful. I use these for road cycling but I find myself constantly having to push the glasses back up because they are loose and don't fit well around my nose bridge. I think the fit could have been designed much better.

These sunglasses do not curve as much as the Reverb or other models of Smith sunglasses, allowing more air from the sides and bottom of the sunglasses to pass over my eyes. Since I wear corrective lenses this style does not work for me; I need a more curved design that does not allow for as large of gaps at the bottom and sides of the sunglasses. I used them for several long gravel rides and they tended to stay on my face relatively well considering how far away the bottom of the glasses hover from my face, but sweat from my helmet would often run down the front of them. Lastly, the durability and scratch-resistance of the black gold mirror lens was lacking and I found several spots on the glasses where the chrome finish has worn off. The Mag arms for switching from the clear lens to the sunglass lens are very nice and the quality of the glasses is great. There are many other styles I've had success with from Smith but these ones aren't for me.
