“I absolutely love the opal blue mirror on the brown lenses. The blue part of the frame is more subtle in person than on the website - which is a good thing, IMO - it's mostly tortoiseshell with an almost imperceptible blue twist. These glasses comfortably stay put whether I'm running, mountain biking, rafting, skiing, etc., although they don't always stay securely on my face when I bend over. I'd recommend some adjustable retainers that will really lock them onto your face if you're bending or climbing a lot. I'm still on the fence about the extra coverage on the sides. I've had great full-coverage glasses in the past, and while these provide great eye protection, the "wings" are somewhat distracting in peripheral vision when the sun catches the light part of the tortoiseshell. Overall, these are sexy looking glasses for most hard core activities.”

“I received these as a warranty replacement which I really appreciate but maybe they were refurbished? One arm is loose and clicks and they did get a scratch right in the dead center right away. I do love the style. They look and feel great.”

“I’m happy Smith has made glasses with feminine-style and glass polarized lenses like the Guides Choice. They fit well, work well and look good. The ‘light blockers’ on the sides were a bit distracting at first, but I got used to them in the first week or so.
I’ve gotten a couple Smith glasses lately than have quickly broken or failed and I’ve had to warranty, but these glasses seem to have the quality I would expect for the price.”

“I love the look and feel of the Shoal's. I wish they had a tortise shell frame that was a brown or rose tint lense that wasn't glass. The reflective ones are working out but are hard to keep clean. I love the protection the side part gives you. These frames are a little big for my face but I'm figuring it out!”
