“I simply love these. I first came to them after seeing the Lowdown on multiple blogs as the best sunglasses for hiking. I had ordered the regular Lowdowns first from a different retailer that I knew had super fast shipping, as our trip was quickly approaching (I didn’t know there was a slim version and was totally new to Smith). I felt they were too large for my face. I loved the lens and comfort, but felt they just didn’t look right. I also tried the Campbase style from this retailer, hoping they would be a little smaller. They were also super comfortable with great lens. It was at this point I finally thought to go directly to Smith’s website to see what other styles they offered since I was so impressed with the two, but it was just the size that wasn’t working. (Duh! I should have come here first.) Low and behold, I learned of the Lowdown Slim and knew that was what I wanted. The stars must have aligned because Smith also had an offer for free 2 day shipping, which meant the glasses would arrive the day before we left for a week in Yellowstone. I was thrilled that the glasses arrived right on time, had free returns, a wonderful guarantee, and simply… were perfect. These lovely optics held their own hiking in Yellowstone, rafting in whitewater, and transitioned great to driving and wearing out to dinner. I love the generous coverage, sturdy nose pads, and the solid construction. I can slide them up on my head when needed and they stay put without snagging/pulling in my curly hair. The nose pads keep them from sliding down my nose (Hurray!) and they even stayed up on my head when we went inside. They also didn’t hurt behind my ears after long hours of wear. These will be perfect for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing this winter. Smith- keep doing what you’re doing. I will be back for more. I’ll need at least a few other color options. ;)”
