“I love the look of this helmet and it fits well. I love the bag it came with. If I had one complaint, it's that the back adjustment doesn't adjust up/down as much as the other smith helmets that I have. I currently have the maze, liberty, and vantage helmet. Those helmets will adjust shorter so when I look up the back of the helmet will not dig into the back of my neck. This helmet does not adjust as much as those so no matter what I do this will hit the back of my neck when I look up. This does not take away from the stars because this a personal preference and nothing to do with the product itself.”
“I like the safety features and therefore I will be keeping this helmet. Using it for snowboarding, and im coming from a basic dirt jump/skate lid so it was time to upgrade from a safety perspective. This was the most basic helmet look I could find with the high end features found in other smith helmets, but im just not a fan of the look of those other ones.
Overall weight and fit is good, mag buckle closure is cool, but im verrry disappointed with the liner/earmuffs. The overall design is f-ing stupid. The description on the website and reviews led me to believe that the liner and/or earmuffs was removable and allowed for the use of your own beanie or baseball cap (which is what i prefer). The earmuffs can only be removed with the liner. Everything is one piece, and when you do this you leave the guts of the boa system exposed. Cables and all that jazz, and the plastic guts of the mips system.
Completely stupid design and misleading description in my opinion. Even the most basic giro helmet has removable earmuffs.
Overall i like the helmet and will keep it because of the money i spent and the safety it provides, but i will always have to be mindful of those damn boa cables and try not to mess up or tangle anything.
Good helmet. Poor liner design, especially given the money.”

“I went 35 years without wearing a helmet consistently, they were always too bulky and heavy. I'm old and ready to wear a helmet and the code was so light that I didn't even know I was wearing it. The sizing is a little smaller than the Smith MTB helmets with the padding and ear flaps. Once I took those out I would say the sizing is spot on with my other Smith MTB helmets. If I'm going to wear a helmet, this one looks pretty cool too.”
