Smith did me right by giving me credit on a Helmet when the paint finish came off. They took care of a customer when their product failed and that is what makes a good company!! I will be giving them much more of my business!

Seems like a pretty good helmet. Do they still make them with removable earflaps for warmer weather? I can't figure that out from the manual or any of the online info.

We bought this helmet for my son and 5 days later he lost control on an icy patch and hit a ski pole at relatively high speed. The helmet did exactly as it was intended to and deformed and my son had no signs of head injury despite some other injurys. We bought another of the exact same helmet after the crash (w/ a big thank you to Smith for having a Crash replacement option)

For the short period I have owned the Smith if fits great with no head or hair fatigue. Always keeps my head toasty and warm. Haven’t had to use the ventilation yet.

I upgraded from a lesser brand of ski helmet very excited for Smith's quality. I think the helmet looks cool and like the color. It certainly does the job! However I was disappointed in quality and comfort. The dial on the back of the head and the vent openings feel cheap and frail. I measured my head and got the correct size, but it barely fits and does not work with any extra layers. Tightening the dial also does not seem to form to my head as well as my previous cheaper helmet that felt more comfortable and had higher quality materials. I use audio chips and when in the helmet are extremely uncomfortable because they do not sit well inside the muffs and press into my ears if I want the strap buckled (which of course I do). I will also be adding this to the audio chips' review. So overall I get very sad whenever it is time to put the helmet on.

Excellent protection, good snug fit. Was wearing a Giro for a few years and I had trouble with the adjustable size dial. I’m between sizes but on the large side of the divide. I would crank the dial down as far as it would go. It fit well at first but I after a couple of hours the helmet was so loose that, if I went over rough terrain, the front of the helmet would go down over my eyes, which doesn’t help visibility at all. I’ve not had the Smith helmet long enough to give a thorough assessment, but my initial impression is “thumbs up.”

I have a uniquely shaped head and find that helmets are a difficult fit. This helmet fit perfectly! I love that it has MIPS as my bike helmet has this as well, and is a superior form of protection against head injury.

Helmet fit great and was comfortable for trip. Only minor issue was even following instructions online, was unable to figure out how to insert speakers in side ear padding. Did not want to cut open. Did not have zipper like other models.
