“I currently have 3 of these helmets, one for myself, and 2 more for my kids that have transitioned out of “youth” helmet sizes. I like them mainly because of the safety features but also for their adjustable venting, light weight design and fun color choices.”
“I have the Smith IO goggles and purchased the red helmet to match with them. Both look great and are comfortable. But being the same brand, I would expect them to integrate seamlessly together, and they do not. No matter how they are fitted, there is a thin line of exposed skin between the goggles and the helmet, which is a real downer when you’re skiing fast. I know this is not unique to my models, either, because my partner has the Vantage helmet and Magnetic lense goggles and he has the same issue. This is a no brainer and should have been addressed at the design stage. And why no free shipping in Canada?”
“I loved my last mission helmet I bought in 2019, however I fell and it cracked the whole back side of the helmet. Smith offered a voucher to replacement for their warranty and the new helmet is a different mold shape or something from the last one I bought and now it’s too tight on the sides of the helmet and wish I knew this before purchasing again as they mentioned all sales are final on the voucher”
“Very good helmet! I have taken some pretty big falls and got a bit of whiplash but felt safe with the helmet. I did notice that one of the arms for the tightening mechanism has broken. The arm has a pin that goes into the helmet, and the pin broke off the arm and is still in the helmet. The helmet still works great, but it slants a little because it only tightens one side now.”
“Great helmet. The only minor negative is the goggle strap retention clip at the rear of the helmet could be better. Otherwise good fit, warm and comfortable.”

“This is an OUTSTANDING helmet. I am a ski instructor and require all my gear to work very well every day.
The helmet fits like a glove and provides the required protection in the event I experience an incident regarding a possible head injury.”
