“This the start of my second season in my Mainline and it’s holding up great, it still looks great and the pads still fit like new my concerns about ventilation have been proven to be unfounded. In short I prefer this helmet to the Bell and Giro products I’ve used in the past.”

“Very nice helmet. Fit feels more solid than the Proframe or Stage and air flow is great. Mips is more noticeable than on many other helmets but not once you get pointed downhill.”

“I love how lightweight this helmet is! The fit is perfect and unlike other full face helmets, I don’t feel like I’m underwater in the Mainline. Smith Protection is my go-to for dirt and snow.”

“After my MTB accident last December 2021 where I had to have reconstructive plastic surgery on my lower lip, and nose, I had to get a full face helmet for my protection. It was a long search since I bought like 5 different helmets and different brands, but neither of them fitted right. Until, a friend recommended the Smith brand, and that was the end of my search since my new full face helmet was the perfect fit for my head combined with the light weight and confortable breathing feeling that allows me to have a clear vision because the interior pouches are softly and confortable.”

“Final DH practice lap at Sea Otter Classic 2022, I took off a little heavy on my left side from the last stepdown in the trees near the bottom of the course. Ended up over the bars and rag-dolling into the oak trees on the left. I rolled over the bars and onto my right shoulder and then my head hit the ground super hard, I remember the impact because I heard the "hissing sound" of the MIPS shell doing its work to keep the helmet's impact rotation from twisting my neck. I ended up with a double scope and meniscus repair on my left knee and a torn up ankle. I am certain if I were wearing another helmet, the impact would have transferred to my neck and done damage. I am sad to have to hang this helmet up but grateful it helped reduce my injuries substantially.
Now I need to track down a new one. I just got cleared to pedal by my Orthopedic Surgeon.”
