“This helmet has a comfortable, adjustable fit that I appreciate so much! This helps the helmet be wearable without feeling too bulky for several hours. Be sure to try it on first with all the combinations of pads before committing to a size! My Session helmet is a small and my ski helmet is a medium, despite have the "same measurements," and I went with the medium in the Mainline.”

“The Mainline is an excellent full face helmet for enduro/trail riding. It is well vented, very nicely finished and is light enough to be comfortable, while heavy enough to feel safe and durable. I'd probably opt for something heavier/more burly for extensive downhill use, but for occasional bike park trips, shuttles, and trail rides, I think this is perfect.”

“Breathability is good. I have trouble fitting Jaybird headphones in the helmet. The D-loop for the strap is secure but time-consuming to operate. The MIPS liner is always making noise while I'm riding. This does not happen in the Forefront 2. Still, it's a solid helmet and I feel better wearing it on certain rides.”

“Super lightweight, comfortable, huge field of view and great look.
The Smith Mainline has become a new favorite for top athletes and I can see why, its large vents and safety features in such a lightweight, stylish package leaves little to be desired.”

“The Mainline is overbuilt and high quality. Many thanks to the Smith engineers for the extra protection and thoughtful features at a reasonable weight. After a month, I am getting better at using the D-Ring closure in gloves. It takes practice. The D-Ring ensures a good fit every time it's pulled tight unlike a clasp with an optional adjustment. Check pad selection if the MIPS is squeaking. The MIPS stopped squeaking when I installed the larger padding. If you're new to full-face for trail riding like I am, give yourself time to adjust to the experience. After about 5-10 rides, it became a helmet I look forward to wearing. The fluorescent camo orange is a fun color. The camo accent takes the edge off and adds some style. It was my choice for when I am riding alone and in areas near my home where hunting is active.”

“Haven't worn while riding, but love the customizable fit with the foam pads. I'm excited to use it this season in the bike park. The main thing I am concerned about is the strap. It seems rather involved if you are going to be taking the helmet on and off while riding the chair. I think a normal buckle, or magnetic clip would have been far superior”
