“I'm lucky enough to have a small enough head that a small Black + White worked for me. With all of the different sized pads the helmet came with, I was able to make it work. The lightweight feel, the openness and strength makes it my go-to if I'm doing anything sketch.
The Squad XL goggles are a perfect fit with it as well. I advise always using goggles with this helmet. I was running without goggles and got a yellow jacket stuck in the side port. There aren't any ear ports, so I had to rip the helmet off quickly to stop getting stung. Bad place, bad time, no fault of Smith.

“I was riding a downhill course in Steamboat Springs Co. when I went off this large jump and didn’t stick the landing. Went over the handlebars and my head and shoulder slammed into the ground first. I was rushed to the ER, luckily my shoulder was the only thing really hurt (separated ligaments). During the crash the helmet did an amazing job directing force away from my head, the mips rotated the helmet a bit as well. Walked away that day with zero brain damage and my life. Thank you Smith! Just need to see if they replace cracked helmets after accidents.”
