“I am very annoyed with my purchase of these goggles. I previously had a cheap pair that cost me about $20 that I have been using for 10 years. Yes they were 10 years old and still worked OK except the lenses were a little scratched up. So I finally decided to take the plunge and get a NICE pair of goggles. The problem is I have never gotten these to work properly. They continuously leak moisture. I have tried and tried to clean and reseal the lense but they still leak. Basically I can only wear them for sun protection but not for snow protection. If it is snowing at all then I have to take them off just so I can see bc the moisture builds up in side the lenses within a few minutes. Additionally, I dropped them in the parking lot and they got very scratched. This is MY fault but I found out there is no way to repair the lense so I just have to buy a new one $100 and I could literally buy several pairs of my cheap goggles for that price. Plus I realized the design of the lense actually encourages scratches since if you drop them you can guarantee the lense itself will be compromised. With my old goggles they had a frame that stuck out around the lense so if I dropped them, the FRAME got scratched but the lense itself was shielded from hitting the ground. Now I am not saying that this was an intentional design by Smith to make the lense last less time but it is clear that this is the result. We all drop our stuff on occasion and not having any protection sucks. Also since they are so sensitive and expensive they shoudl come with a lense cover but they do not. At this price I think it is a necessity. Finally, at $100 a lens, there should be a way to repair lenses. Now, all this could be BS MAYBE my pair is defective. Sorry if that is the case. I have contacted warranty claim now and crossing my fingers that I just got unlucky on the moisture leakeage thing and maybe it literally is just a defect. But so far this is my biggest regret of a purchase. Hoping to be proved wrong.”
