“I loved the goggle when I could use it, but while moving the frame and strap got lost and now I'm left with these great lenses that can't use. I called Smith Customer Support to try and get a replacement frame, and they said they do not sell just the frame, so I will have to buy a whole new set if I want to use these goggles. Seems silly to me that they couldn't have me pay for a new frame, rather than make me buy a whole new set. I know its my own fault, but come on...”
“I’ve been a Smith loyalist for years, both personally and professionally. These goggles were a huge letdown. They just don’t hold up to wet days without fogging up. It’s nearly impossible to prevent it unless you are diligently babysitting your goggles as if they were a toddler, in need of constant care. I’ve had numerous pairs of Smith goggles and glasses, and always love how reliable they are. On a trip to Canada, I ended up having to wear my dad’s $60 Spy goggles because I couldn’t get mine unfogged. For the price of these goggles, it’s super disappointing to see how they held up compared to a pair from Costco. I’ve recommended Smith to people for years, but this is a product I just can’t get behind. Save your money and buy a different pair”
“I Have a pair of the regular IO Goggles (non-mag) that I've had for years. They were getting a little old and had a scratch that bugged me. So I decided to upgrade and ever since wearing they constantly fog up. No matter what I do. I wear the same helmet and attire as my older IO's that have no issues with. I end up just throwing on my old ones so I can see and don't even wear my new mags.”
“I really wanted to love these. The color, shape, fit, look, etc. of these are awesome but they completely ruined a weekend of powder skiing. The low light lenses fogged up instantly and became completely scratched when I tried to dry the moisture with a soft napkin. I went indoors for an hour to let them dry completely and they were a little better but then completely fogged again the next morning. I ended up taking them off and skiing without goggles. Thankfully Smith customer service was excellent and is refunding my purchase and accepting my return. Very disappointing product. Fo $270 I expect better ventilation and more durability. I'm going back to my $50 pair of Wildhorn goggles.”
