Fit, Functionality, Quality
“Amazing fit. I can breathe through my nose! The view is fantastic with the wide periphery. The low light and bright light lens perform as you would expect from Smith, flawlessly.”
“I wanted to love these goggles so bad, and honestly the bright lenses on a sunny day are everything I imagined they would be. But I've taken them out in storm conditions on two separate occasions now and there is literally nothing I can do to get the mag connection tight enough in the frame to prevent snow from blowing into the goggles. Obviously from there the snow melts and the lenses become completely fogged and/or frozen. This happens within about 2-3 runs, meaning the goggles are functionally useless on a powder day, which is when I'm most motivated to ride. I have a friend who bought the I/O mag from last year and who has had the exact same problem (my bad for not learning from his experience). I had to buy a non-mag goggle to ski in storm days... definitely not what you would expect from a $300 goggle!”
“These goggles are top notch Smith quality but they are much larger than I expected. They are far thicker than non-mag I/O's so they stick out from under my helmet far more than I'd like. I wouldn't recommend these unless you have a helmet that has a thick visor or just don't wear a helmet.”
