The pattern is not printed on the socks but done in thread, resulting in varying thickness of the sock depending which color is on the outside. The toes and heels are stretchy, but not reinforced. The men's sizes are a little bigger, so I'm not worried about holes in the corner at the turn for the heel, since the sock isn't stretched as tight there as with most of my socks. (I wear 9 or 9 1/2 US in women's or 7 US in men's.)”
