Women's Remix Wetsuit 5/4 Hooded 8MS Reviews

5 Rating 6 Reviews
First winter session with my Remix 5/4 hooded in 'extreme conditions' (air 5° & cold wind; water +8°) and I am very satisfied! Wetsuit easy to put on, fits well, and family to take off. I felt comfortable in my movements and warm for my 2 hour session. I hope the longevity of the product will be good as well. The only small (very small) possible improvement is the zip on the chest front: it goes from the outside to the inside (so you have to assemble the 2 sides)... I find that more practical in the other direction.

Order is fast and easy, after sales services are perfect and responsive. The wetsuit is super flex, and the job is more than done! I chose it because of 3 things: Good price, good quality, possibility to send it back if it doesn't fit/suit me. Please never change that!

A friend recommended me SRFACE, couldn't be happier I followed up on her advice. Took my suit + Gloves + Hood for a few sessions last weekend and I'm very pleased with my purchase! Very comfy and mostly very hot suit ! :) I didn't feel a thing in the water.

I bought my wetsuit a year ago. I wanted to give a long-term review. I tried both the heat and remix hooded 5/4. I used the GBomb Zipfree 4/3 for all seasons from Rip Curl. The transition to 5/4 was not that easy. However, I like the coverage of the hood. It was a significant upgrade in comparison to the Rip Curl Heat hood. It covers well and comfortably the chin, and that is both the heat and the remix. I tried them both at sea. I tried first the Heat, and it was too difficult to paddle. I switched right after (20-minute session), and the remix was a game-changer. From a longer-term perspective, I have heard that they tend to loosen a bit, which is true. I have kept the Remix and returned the Heat. A year later (so when I am writing this review), I will move to Sweden, and I wonder if I should have been more patient with the Heat and given it a go. However, for North Sea conditions in winter, the remix is perfect. A detail to add: the wetsuit does have a loose stitch, which is a pleasant surprise as I have experienced such issues with the pricier Rip Curl wetsuit. I want to highlight the excellent customer service who were there to answer my questions and assist me with my delivery as I received it not the next day but a week later. The team was there to look for it, and was accessible, even for requests linked to repair tips.

I've been using the 5/4 hooded Remix suit in Ireland & Cornwall this Winter and so far it's been great! The suit fits like a glove and keeps me toasty warm even though it's still nice and flexible compared to the 5/4 Heat, which as it says is more focused on warmth than flexibility. They dry relatively quickly too - I was just in my van so had to hang it on a normal hanger and have it drip into a bucket or just hang outside the van and it would dry overnight (if it wasn't frosted over) which is perfect. I had to size down because all SRFACE suits run slightly large in UK sizes but I'm used to the sizing charts now so always go for a 6S even though I'm usually a UK 8. Over the years I've also had a 5/4 Heat (hooded), 5/4 Heat (non-hooded) & 4/3 Eco suits from SRFACE and I'd say this suit is my favourite so far, the 5/4 Heat is super cosy but a bit stiffer round the arms, so I use it for surf instructing to keep me warm when less paddling is required. Excellent customer service as always!
