Men's Heat Wetsuit 5/4 Hooded LT Reviews

4.9 Rating 196 Reviews
I have the 4/3 and the 5/4 with a hood myself and both wetsuits are really good. Before that I surfed the Reef suits for years and had one or the other winter suit in between. My Reefs are so old that I don't even know how old they are and they are still great. My O'Neill and Neil Pryde broke after 2 or 3 years and I hope that SRFACE will last longer ... Certainly you can't compare it with Reef, the technology and the material are different. At SRFACE I think the fit is great and the 5.4 is really nice and warm and it stretches great.

Solid wetsuit for an honest price. Easy ordering process with good sizing tool.

The wetsuit fits perfectly. The warmth is OK, but it's a bit chilly in the coldest Dutch winter months. The suit is perfectly sealed and should be thick enough. Maybe limestone neoprene is not as insulating as it's petroleum based counterpart or there is a flex (excellent flex) vs warmth trade-off. A 6/5/4 version of the suit would be nice. There is one major flaw which leads to this 3 star review. The cuffs are really tight (great at keeping water out), but lack flexibility. As a result the cuffs will tear rather than stretch. I already had to send my suit for repair after a few sessions and from the looks of it the other cuffs need repairs too by the end of the season. I have been gentle with the suit, but it's really too tight/inflexible, especially if you add boots/gloves to the mix. Luckily the contact with the customer service was pretty good. Overall the suit is good value for your money, but I won't be buying another one until the cuffs are improved.

Hi Klaas, Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. We’re happy to hear that the wetsuit fits well and provides good warmth, but we understand how challenging the coldest Dutch winters can be. Your point about the balance between flexibility and warmth with limestone neoprene is spot on, and we appreciate your suggestion for a 6/5/4 version—we’re always looking for ways to enhance our products. We’re sorry to hear about the tightness of the cuffs and the wear and tear issues you experienced. They’re designed to keep water out effectively, but we understand that flexibility is just as important. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’ll be sure to pass it along to our product team for future improvements. We’re glad our customer service team was able to assist you, and we hope to continue improving your experience. If you have any further suggestions or need assistance, feel free to reach out—we’re here to help! Thanks again for your support! Best, Team SRFACE

Really great online shop. The team reacted quickly via chat to my chat after office hours. The size finder works great and with other brands it always a guess if the size is okay. The SRFACE fits perfectly and I never feel cold in it. It changed my temperature limit downwards for surfing. So more surfing days in a year . The plastic bag is a nice storage bag and serves as wet gear bag after a session, really well thought of. Extremely happy customer, I ordered a new spring/fall suit too.

I bought a SRFACE because I was curious to experience what all the fuss was about and I believe it is one of the cheaper and environmental friendlier wetsuits around. The size chart was really helpful, because for most brand I wear a MT and for SRFACE it's an LT. If fits perfectly! When surfing (and photographing) in it, the first thing I noticed was how easy it was to put the wetsuit on and how freely you I was able to move in such a thick wetsuit. I didn't feel like the Michelin man at all! Witch is the case with other brands sometimes. Then when i took it off, it was super easy, not at all how it usually feels when taking off a new winter wetsuit with freezing hands. So overall I am really happy, and I would definitely buy one again!

Really a great wetsuit. Especially for the price. It's warmer than my 5/3 Mystic volt. Definitely recommended! Kite surfed when it was 2 degrees outside. I could continue kiting without gloves and shoes by keeping my core warm in this wetsuit, even when I no longer had any feeling in my feet and hands.

The wetsuit was shipped shortly after I placed the order and arrived a day later. Wetsuit feels very nice and soft on the inside. During the first session it was freezing cold outside, however, when falling in the water the wetsuit doesn’t fill up with water. Definitely recommend this wetsuit during the cold months!
