“I've been using different brands of wetsuits for more than 20 years, and this one is one of the best (way better than some competitors who offer models over 400€, I did the tests). Workmanship is high quality, all seams are taped inside, no skin irritation. No water intake either. Despite the 5mm thickness, the flexibility is good. The heat is really good too, I was never cold. It feels solid and durable. Also, got it delivered in 2 days.
My next 4/3 and 3/2 will also be SRFACE, that's for sure.”
“Size finder is genius, all brands should use this. Delivery was pretty fast all the way up north to Lofoten.
Been surfing this wetsuit since november 2021 (11.3.22 writing) in Lofoten. Water temp range from 9 c (nov) - 3.8 c. (march). The suit is flexible, and probably what's best is the wind protector on the chest, back and the hood. Best 5/4 I've had. ( c-skins 5/4/3 close 2nd).
I surf 1-2 sessions per day, so the suit has gone through it. The coldest days it doesn't hold for long. Air -13C and water temp 4.2C. 1 - 1.5 hours depending on swell period. But when it is 5c air temp, it holds 2.5 hours easily. And I get cold easily.
Most def recommending this to you who are looking for a warm and flexible 5/4, very affordable too!”
“Being a very fanatic outdoor swimmer, I invented the Year Challenge: swim in january first 1 km, 2 nd of february 2 km, the 3d of march 3 km and so on. At 5 degrees watertemp, the material became an absolute problem. 2 km was possible, 3 absolutely not. Too cold in my 3 mm suit with summer shorty over it. Since this wetsuit was also seriously damaged (the soft rubber skin is very easily scarred), I decided to try the 4-5 mm hooded, ALTHOUGH it was designed for surfers, not for swimmers. So it had no rubbery outside, would it be warm enough when you were in the water all the time? And would the fabric be supple enough in the shoulders for a breast stroke without damage in that area?
After some very good sales chats I bought the suit. Getting out and in is worse then being born without caesarian and terribly bad sex but after that I can tell you it's HEAVEN. Today, the 13th of February, I got disqualified by my swimming group. At five degrees water temp I swam 3,1 km. No shoulder problems, and I am still warm after leaving the water.
And the material is SO much sturdier then the soft old rubber!”
“Used almost all brands by now, since the 80's. The SRFACE wetsuit seems to be very solid, but I can't give a real opinion about it yet. Fit and flex are spot on. Am very happy with it.”
“Very good size finder and on line advice and support. The suit is amazing... so warm! I have tried it twice at the wave in Bristol in the Autumn and it’s toasty. So comfortable to wear even with the hood down no flushing, looking forward to wearing it all winter will definitely have more kit in the future.”
“Very cool that the bag in which the wetsuit comes can be reused as a wetsuit bag! Wetsuit feels very good and fits perfectly. Thanks to the lady on the chat who gave me tips about the size. Sometimes I still get some water in my neck, but I still have to get used to the adjustment.”
“The hooded suit is good, overall it keeps me warm in Irish winter waves for the past 4 months. The fit is okay, I should have gone for the next size down from 6S I'm 160cm height, 55kg. The hood has a lot of space, especially around the back of neck which I like - most other women's hoods I have tried o er the years are v. small especially as you size down and tend to choke me. I have an average head size/neck length, so it's good to find this fit. I would recommend more peak on the hood however. Only problems are that the chest pull cord snapped the second day I wore it (this was quickly sorted out with SRFACE) and I feel water flushing through the right side of the chest zip even though it is fully closed.”
