“All the little touches add up - a standing desk setup is really a sum of it's parts.
Pros:
- Assembly is easy.
- Legs are really sturdy and provide enough height for me at 6'2". They are almost noiseless, and don't move so slow as to make you feel like Sonic the hedgehog which I've previously experienced: the speed is good - enough for a quick stretch when changing position.
- The control panel allows for very fine grained control - sub 1cm height adjustment.
- The wireless charger really is a nice to have.
- The under-desk cable boxing is great - though I agree it could potentially be a little bigger.
- You can buy with complete confidence from Stand Desk - they were extremely understanding and responsive when I changed my mind on the top - and answering all my interim questions. It made it seamless. Great team.
Observations:
- For a kneeling option two yoga blocks plus a bolster on the standing mat is just high enough with the desk at it's lowest - but I'll probably figure out a slightly raised platform option on e.g. a little flat dolly to get good kneeling stretching through my legs. I didn't think about kneeling before buying - but it's actually a nice option to consider.
- I wasn't a fan of the whitewash top option and swapped it out - it was more of a grey wash that I think could suit some office environments, but probably isn't well suited to most working from home decor.
- Looking forward to the bluetooth app release.
Cons:
- The height control panel requires one click to activate, and then one to instruct - rather than just a single press height adjustment.
- The height control panel doesn't display a decimal place - e.g. 105.5 which could be useful since it does adjust with that sensitivity.”
“I recently received my standing desk (1500 blackwash model) and I'm really happy with it. After using it for a week here are some of my thoughts:
Pros
- Great build quality.
- Easy to assemble (a great tutorial video that makes everything clear).
- Feels solid and sturdy (Have my desktop, dual monitors, mic and camera mounts all attached).
- Included cable tray is really nice and spacious.
- Having a built-in wireless phone charger is something I didn't know I needed.
Cons
- I have the blackwash model and I find it quite hard to see the outline of the wireless charging zone, I can only really see it if I look closely and from certain angles but just glancing down I can't, perhaps in the other colours it's easier to see?
Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and would highly recommend one to anyone looking for a standing desk.”
“Very happy with my new standing desk, looks and feels great. The control panel was wobbly but fixed with a few washers. I like that they included a few sticky pads for monitor feet / other objects to prevent scratches. Would recommend StandDesk to anyone considering a new desk :)”
“I have had a few working table's in my time and this is by far the best product I have experience thus far. Great design and practical use, love the smoothness of the motor when it rises and falls. Great product and highly recommend it!!”
“Great piece of furniture. Everything went together well and so far I’ve had no problems.
The only criticism would be the phone charger which doesn’t always connect with my phone case. I removed the adhesive and screwed the device directly under the desk instead which has helped.
It works most of the time but it’s not perfect.
However overall I’m delighted with the quality and service.”
“After some courier hiccups, my desk finally arrived and the assembly process was very straight forwards using the assembly video on the website.
The cable tray is definitely big enough as I run multiple monitors, a laptop, a network switch, and a desktop computer on the top of my desk.
Very happy with the design and sturdiness of the desk itself. The motors are very quiet and everything works as expected! Highly recommended.
If Stand Desk was to offer any more accessories, a mounted power board option would definitely be a great add-on!”
