“My first ever Swiss watch besides my swatches was a self gifted Oris Atelier Date. From that point, I was obsessed with watches. Fast forward a decade and some, this is my second oris watch in my collection. What drew me to it was the playful salmon dial, but what really got me interested was the Calibre 400- movement that oris had developed in house. In house calibres have become a real bragging point for watch makers in the last couple of years, but this movement with its 5 day power reserve operating within cosc parameters (albeit without certification) meant that it was definitely something to be curious about. That and the 10 year warranty and 10 year service intervals.
The best thing about the 39mm ProPilot X is the titanium case and bracelet. It wears so well despite the lack of micro adjustment.
Is it worth the rrp? Perhaps not, but if you can&xt get it for under rrp, you won&xt be disappointed.”
