“I’ve always been intrigued by the Lunar Pilot watches because of the great story behind them, with the historic moon landing when one was worn during an EVA. Now that Bulova has brought it back for everyone to enjoy this has become a must-have for my collection.
I love this watch for the accuracy of the movement. I’ll almost miss having to adjust the time regularly! It also has a handsome dial with complications that make sense without cluttering things up. The lume is great and lasts through the night after a good 0-30 minute charge. It’s a BIG watch and I was afraid it would look out of place on my weedy wrist, but apart from needing to adjust the size of the bracelet it looks much better than I initially thought.
The watch feels sturdy and substantial, and the bracelet is similarly well-built. The butterfly clasp has a nice, positive action that holds well, even when my arm moves about a lot. I don’t normally go for steel bracelets because they tend to catch hairs but this one doesn’t, further testament to the build quality.
The slightly proud fit of the flat crystal really shows off how thick it must be. The only worry I might have is the glass may chip on the edges if I knock it too hard against anything. But, it’s the only thing I can say that is even close to a negative.
I can see this watch making an appearance in my rotation quite regularly!”

I own the 45mm Bulova Lunar Pilot as well and I&xve found this 43mm version to be a big improvement over the last model. The smaller case size gives it the ability to be able to dress up or down, something the 45mm version was lacking.
It&xs still a fairly big watch though so you need a wrist size of at least inches to be able to pull it off in my opinion.
