“I’ve been wearing the Bulova Automatic 43mm 98A304 for almost a month now, and I have to say, this watch has exceeded my expectations on almost every level.
The first thing that caught my eye was the skeleton dial—it’s stunning in person. The open-worked design allows you to see the intricate inner workings of the watch, which is mesmerising, especially in good lighting.
The 1-jewel automatic movement is smooth, and I haven’t noticed any major time drift so far. The 4-hour power reserve is solid, though if you don’t wear it every day, you’ll need to wind it or use a watch winder. The exhibition case back is another nice touch—it’s just as much fun to look at from the back as it is from the front.
Despite its size, the watch wears comfortably on my wrist. The leather strap is soft and doesn’t irritate my skin, even after a full day’s wear.
While it’s water resistant up to 100 meters, i have not tried it apart from few splashes while washing my hand or getting caught up in rain. I will prefer not to dive /swim with this watch because of the leather strap and not having a screw down crown.
