“As per usual and in true Seiko fashion. The watch came with an appalling factory band. Very tacky/cheap looking and you need to flip it around yourself to get the tail going the right way (on the outside of your wrist) because Seiko install these backwards (this means that the ‘Seiko’ insignia on the clasp is upside down when flipped over, but oh well). Have bought a couple of custom bands so I can toss the factory one and use them with the factory clasp which apart from being upside down, is nice and of good quality. All that aside, the watch itself is stunning. Keeps fantastic time, extremely classy and looks like a much more expensive watch than it is. I bought this cocktail time knowing that the band would be garbage (like every Seiko I’ve ever bought), but knew that I was getting a great mid level Seiko watch. Better than the base models, still made in Japan (not Japanese movement and then assembled in China), but without a Grand Seiko price tag. If you can look past the truly awful factory band and don’t mind spending a bit more to get a better one made up, this is the watch for you! Timeless, classy and at 41mm case diameter, a good all rounder.”
