“The 65W GaN Power Adapter was purchased as a quick way to charge my devices. I am an Australian customer who mostly uses Android devices and has limited technical competence.
For me, the product and follow-up support from Statik were very substandard, not fit for purpose, and inadequately supported.
It was a very disappointing experience. I have purchased from Staik before and found a good product. I was very happy, and so trusted the company and its products.
In this case, the product could not be used for Australian power connections. It needs another adaptor to plug into power.
I raised the matter with Staitk. They confirmed that they knew that and still sold the product to Australian users. The failure did not matter to them.
I registered my disappointment and got a distinct lack of solution. Statik continued to show no care to an existing customer.
Once I found the necessary adaptor, I plugged it in to charge a device. It overheated the device very quickly. I discovered this before permanent damage to my expensive device.
I threw the product away and will not use Statik again.
This was a very valuable lesson in choosing the right supplier who can provide a quality product.
I define quality as "fit for my needs and wants".
