“I'll admit, I looked at the measurements, but didn't pay close attention or even pull out a ruler to see how tall it would really be (my mistake). I was a bit taken aback that it was as small as it was and based on the length of the earrings I make, there is no way I can display a necklace as well at the same time. Also my display did not want to stand up on it's own which is strange being that it is supposed to be weighted. Anyway there was a piece of wire in the back bottom which now makes me think you are supposed to somehow attach that wire to something to "hold" the display down. I was going to send it back, but considering it was going to cost me almost just as much as it costs to ship it back (as it weighs over a pound in the box) I just considered it a wash. In order for me to use it to take a photo of my earrings I had to prop it up against a small glass votive candle (and even then it kept wanting to fall to the side...what in the world is wrong with this thing!). I would not discourage anyone else from buying this size as it does do what it says which is display and would work well when you have limited space (and using smaller earrings lol) , but I will try purchasing the larger side profile one as it seems to have a base. I'll cross my fingers and see how that goes.”
