“These are very sturdy for what they are designed to do. I had a need to find an alternative for securing a swag-style hanging lamp ordinarily secured via a screw hook in the ceiling, however(doing so would breech the terms of tenant agreement)the apartment I'm in is very old and heat is emitted radiantly from pipes above the ceiling floor. With a few items from the hardware store, ("D" metal link over the bracket end and and spring loaded beylay clip for hanging chain) it serves it's function without looking tacky.”
