“The black plastic at the base of the needle is very flimsy so even when a little pressure is applied from the needle lock on the Avery Dennison gun it bends the plastic just enough so that the driving rod (the piece that pushes the tag through the needle and into the fabric) gets stopped on that bent plastic. We ordered 5 boxes of these and have tried trimming the plastic to allow the driving rod to pass in the chamber. We tried loading the needle with the driving rod engaged so the plastic would not bend during install. We have 10 guns all together so it can't be all 10 guns. It didn't work for us.”
