“I tried to email this...but your email address rejected my reply, that you asked for. Order SW2616 Hi Austin, Unfortunately, I'm not satisfied. I'm not asking for any replacements, coupons, or money back. Just wanted to give my honest opinion, which saddens me to give because you are a small business and I completely understand how things work for smaller businesses. My order was supposed to be delivered on my friends' birthday, April 22nd. I got an email saying that the order would be late due to the icing not being settled. I'm pretty sure you guys get plenty of orders, so it baffled me to think that this was an issue because you would be used to the baking and cooling times, right? Well, today my friend received the cookies. He sent me a photo to thank me. I was again baffled because the cookies did not look like the picture online. Not only did the brown (or melanin breast) have pink outlining, but They're also missing the detail of the piercing as well as the pearls and the vagina cookie is missing the "cream" as shown online. I've attached photos. Again, I'm not wanting ANYTHING. I just wanted to give my honest opinion. Thank you, LaTina Lancaster”

Hi LaTina, Thank you so much for taking the time to share this with me, and I'm sorry my email bounced back when you tried to reply — I have no idea why that happened. We had been corresponding by email earlier in the order process without any trouble, so it's frustrating that the one reply I most wanted to receive is the one that didn't make it through. I really appreciate you finding another way to get your feedback to me. I want to address each of your points directly, because they matter. On the delay: every order we ship is made fresh for that specific customer. We don't keep a back-stock of cookies sitting on a shelf, so when icing doesn't set the way it needs to, we genuinely can't rush it without sending out something that won't survive shipping or won't look the way it should. I know that doesn't change the fact that your friend's birthday had already passed, and I'm sorry the timing landed where it did. That's why we added two extra cookies to the order — six instead of four — as a small acknowledgment that we'd missed the date you were counting on. On the designs: this is the feedback I take most to heart. The picture didn't come through but I'm sorry that the cookies your friend received didn't match what's pictured online. We do intentionally vary our designs from batch to batch, but variation is not the same as missing detail, and what you described is the latter. I'm going to make sure we're paying much closer attention to ensuring that what ships out genuinely reflects what customers see when they place the order. I want to be clear that I hear you — you weren't asking for anything, and I'm not trying to talk you out of how you felt about the order. Honest feedback from someone who chose to support a small business is one of the most valuable things we get, and I'm grateful you sent it even after the email bounce made it harder than it should have been. If you're ever open to giving us another shot, I'd love the chance to make it right. I'll personally see your order through from start to finish to make sure it's exactly what you expected — and if you send me an email, I'll get a discount code over to you to use whenever you're ready.
