CARY Base is a Reminder Clock with Remote Calendar Scheduling for family and support workers.

Designed by Abilia for people who need extra help keeping track of the hours of the day, as well as the day’s events.

With a fully customisable display, the day’s schedule can be shown on the screen, and spoken reminders can be received at desired times and family members or caregivers can also help keep the calendar up-to-date remotely.
Spoken Reminders (internal voice engine or personally recorded messages). Visual Reminders (internal image library or personal photos) Remote Calendar Scheduling (requires WiFi) 29 languages supported (19 of them spoken). Fully customisable display to suit the users needs. Auto adjusts for daylight savings time. Light sensor for auto dimming at night. Alerts have customisable sound, volume & length.
Simple touch screen operation (screen can be locked). Daily schedule can be shown or hidden. Custom designed by Abilia in Sweden.

For people who might have difficulty touching the screen to silence alarms there is also a switch jack for alternative input. There is also an output jack for vibrating or light flashing alarms for people with hearing impairments.

“It doesn't allow for WA time zone - on 24/12 at 4.46am it showed the time but said "Tuesday Night". Not good for someone who struggles with days, dates and time. To be more functional the calendar should be linked to an ical calendar on my phone so appointments synchronise when entered on the phone rather than having to open the clunky app to add appointments. For the price, I would be better getting her an ipad. Will be returning for an refund.”
