Basic Qualifications:
1) Before your injury, could you fluidly walk up and down stairs at a normal pace, without using a hand rail?
2) Can you balance on one leg for at least 30 seconds?

“This thing is amazing. I'm a 57yo woman with a broken foot, overweight for my height, and with poor upper body strength, so crutches were really hard for me, and felt very unsafe, especially on stairs. I was given a knee scooter, which was fine on smooth or paved surfaces, but still needed both hands, and couldn't do stairs, which I have a LOT of since we live on the side of a hill. I googled for better options and came upon this. Even though it is quite pricey I decided to have a go. It came within 2 days, which was really appreciated! And I took to it like a duck to water. I watched all the videos in a row and was able to put it together without any problem, and was able to start using it immediately, stairs and everything. I made a few mistakes at first - wrong leg first going up the stairs, ouch! - but now after only 4 days I was able to walk up 80 stairs this morning and then 1.5km along a gravel road, including steep-ish hills. So good to feel capable and independent. This will make my 4 weeks of complete non-weightbearing so much easier than I initially thought. Thank you so much to whoever designed this, and also to superpharmacyplus for the wonderful speedy delivery.”

“I’ve found the Iwalk crutch useful. It is quite tiring to use, however it is great to be able to have your hands free to do tasks. For longer distances on smooth surfaces (shopping centres, trade stores, hospitals, parks, pavement etc I much prefer the Knee Scooter. It is much quicker, fun and requires significantly less energy for distance covered! I also still use crutches (fore arm) a lot as the are essential for the transition to load bearing”
