“Am still not sure if I totally love this oil as it has a lot of PUFAs in there as well as some amazing oils (PUFAs - Polyunsaturated fatty acids.) The problem with PUFAs is because they are unsaturated oils, they have the tendency to oxidise - oxidisation essentially releases free-radicals - which over time obviously can in fact age skin. However, this product also has some truly amazing ingredients too. Squalane oil is a saturated oil and probably one of the best facial oils out there! Also Bakuchiol is an amazing alternative to Retinol. I think if you were to use this up quickly - before the oils oxidised - it would be a worthwhile purchase.”
“Thank you BH for including me in the trial and introducing me to such a lovely product. It was my first time trying a product from Synergie skin and I am extremely impressed with its performance.
I have dry, sensitive skin which is prone to breakouts and under the skin bumps thus I refrain from using oils on my face as they immediately cause breakouts. I find that this oil is very different from anything I have used in the past, its extremely light-weight but very moisturising and absorbs easily in the skin. I apply it at night after my serum (it has replaced my night cream as it is very moisturising) and I wake up to a beautiful, glowing skin in the morning which looks healthy. After using it for a little over 2 weeks, I have noticed that my skin has a healthy glow and the fine lines have reduced. Overall my skin looks very healthy, moisturised with no dry patches and younger.
I also added a drop to my foundation and felt that my face didn't dry out all day and it looked nice with no dry patches at the end of the day. I also like the dropper as its easy to control how much product I want to dispense.”
“Synergie Skin LumiBalance from Glosscars 2022 Trial Box. I have been using this product for two weeks but from the initial use, Loved it. Comes boxed and product is packaged in a frosted dark coloured glass bottle with a screw-on angled dropper applicator with the accuracy of only dispensing one measured drop at a time.
After cleansing and after applying my active serum, I’ve been applying 4 drops morning and night and gently massaging over my face and neck. It has the most lovely (all natural) aroma and being so lightweight, glides over the skin and readily absorbs.
LumiBalance deeply moisturises the skin and no other moisturiser is required ,however I still used a moisturiser after (as I needed to trial one at the same time!) and this product definitely made my skin feel so much softer upon waking the next morning. I do feel it has calmed my skin, making it feel less rougher and with continued use will reduce the appearance of fine lines.
It is a more expensive product but worth the price as 30mls will last a long time and with the dropper provided, it’s impossible to dispense more than a standard drop at a time.
I have used a few Synergie Skin products and all have been excellent products that I would have no hesitation in recommending and this one joins the list.
Made in Australia , Vegan and not tested on animals and contains 8 key ingredients with full ingredients list here.

“I was able to trial this product with BH and was pleasantly surprised at how easy to use it was and how well my skin reacted. The product comes in a reasonable size bottle with dropper attached. I would apply a few drops to my hand following cleansing morning and night, and then massage into my skin. It would absorb quite quickly and feel hydrated for the whole day. Glowing and radiant. I did however have to avoid anywhere near my eyes as I found the oil would make my eyes blood shot (that was my issue, not the product).
I used the product consistently for a few weeks and found that it was great to use when my skin was dry. I generally have very sensitive combination skin, so the times when my skin was a bit more on the oily side, I couldn’t use this product (too much oil caused a few too many pimples!). I did notice that it didn’t cause any irritation to occur which is something that I regularly experience with new products. My husband has quite dry skin and his skin reacted quite well to the product also, showing plumpness and hydration, and no signs of oiliness so I think this is more suitable for those with dryer type of skin.
The product however was packaged well. In a nice and neat box, in a reasonable sized bottle and dropper. It had simple packaging however it was modern and branded well. I hadn’t come across this brand before, so it was good to try something new.
A big thanks to BH for letting me take part of the trial of this product.”
“I had not heard of this brand but when I used the product I was really impressed. The Synergie Skin LumiBalance looks and feels like a product that would be used in a salon. It comes in a glass bottle with a dropper and glides onto the skin really nicely. It is absorbed really quickly on my skin. The oil isn’t thick, so it didn’t clog my pores or feel heavy when I was using it. The skin on my face and neck is much smoother and brighter after using it for a number of weeks so I will continue to use this product because I really like it.”
“I’ve tried body oils for my knees that tend to be very dry, but I’ve never tried facial oils before. I’m an advocate for clean, fresh skin so if I feel any oiliness or stickiness by midday, I want to wash my face with facial cleanser. That being said, I was skeptical using oil on my face. It’s excellent for people with dry skin and it does give off a subtle glow, but I must say it isn’t for me as I immediately felt the urge to wash it off. It’s quite light and very moisturizing but I still didn’t like how it felt after applying. I wasn’t a fan of the scent either. It had a cinnamon-like smell to it which was the most off-putting factor.
My cheeks get very dry during the winter to the point that it starts flaking; I would use this product at night before going to bed in the affected area, but not in the mornings. Because you only need a few drops this product would last very long.”
“I have very dry skin and need heavy-duty moisturising products. I loved how this oil was great at sealing in my bottom layers of skin product. Even though it's an oil, it wasn't greasy or oily in any way and absorbed very quickly into my skin. My skin is quite acne prone but no breakouts were triggered.
It does have a bit of a scent which was a little strong for me, so keep that in mind. However I was very impressed overall and felt the pros outweighed this single con.
All in all - if you're looking to try a facial oil, I highly recommend this one.”
“I was thrilled to review this product as part of the Glosscars trial team. The Synergie Skin Lumi Balance facial oil is an excellent quality oil. I have tried other oils before so I know what I like and what I do not like. One thing I do not like is an oil that leaves your skin feeling dirty and oily. The lumibalance glides on easily with a great angled applicator to ensure no missed drops, it sinks into the skin easily and leaves the skin feeling hydrated and with a nice glow that does not feel too oily. The product is super lightweight so you can build hydration, as well as use with other products such as moisturizer and foundation.
The bottle is perfectly sized. It looks classy and elegant but is at a reasonable price point, that offers great value for money.”
