Needed to refer to on-line pictures to see how all the parts fitted and then to local houses to understand how LNB alignment went. All in, got it assembled and working.

Old dish L mount was rusted away. No instructions with dish but you can figure out assembly from the picture on website. Use whole thing to get position on wall, mark a hole, then just use mount with a spirit level to make mount plate horizontal on top, drill and attach. Dish offset is 26 degrees but for Astra whatever (Sky) my elevation was 20 for my latitude (Ayrshire), so dish needed to point downwards 6 degrees. Scale on mount, no idea what it's at now, maybe 20 degrees. Guessed that anyway, couldn't be bothered with protractor. LNB anti-clockwise skew -20 degrees plus 7 for Astra = -13 degrees, guessed as no scale on LNB. Took compass bearing along the LNB arm, marked position in garden. Satellite finder (an expensive borrowed one giving details of satellite etc) - locked on to freesat so no Sky, just freesat channels. Swing back past and then back on, got Astra. Signal strength 10/10, quality 9/10 on Sky HD. STV2 is now crisp and clear, on old Zone 2 Sky dish was fuzzy, so worth getting the bigger dish I think for its extra signal capture area. I'd forgotten what 3D looked like on HD. Still using old cables till I have time, just stripped off ends, cleaned and redid. Job's a good 'un.
