Wanted one for a while and finally pulled the trigger. Great installation and easy to do. However, you will NOT get the same model as the one that TacomaBeast has on their YouTube. This may sound like a bad thing but the 3TPAM has a newer model with the old additional backplate built in to the full mount, more support brackets for greater stability, plus they included (IMO) way better wire-taps than the ones that TacomaBeast shows in their video installing an older model. You'll need to reference the tutorials uploaded by Expedition Essentials on their website to correctly install the new version, but if you watch TacomaBeast's installation, you'll basically get the same idea.

Amazing product. Was fairly easy to install. Was driving with my wife and she didn’t realize that it wasn’t OEM.

I’m not a heavy overlander; but I take my truck hunting/camping almost every weekend. I’ve been frustrated with lesser options for mounting my ipad which I use with SatMaps and weboost, for navigating a myriad of unmarked dirt roads in rural New Mexico. The 3TPAM is the be-all solution. I’ve got my phone and ipad solidly mounted and it’s a fantastic change that frees up my passenger/navigator to spot coyotes. Installation was just the tiniest bit more difficult than i expected, because my hands are fat, but still not a problem…I just had to actually disconnect the wire bundles on the starter/AC panel. No sweat, works great!

I am super impressed by this mounting solution. Although the installation was a little rigorous I was still able to get this thing in working 2 hours. Most of that time was spent trying to tap into my 12 auxiliary plug with my hands and the limited amount of space. For anyone installing this make sure to use the taps that come with the TPAM also AMPS pattern and 10-32 machine screws ( remember these two things when looking for your mounting solution. I learned something new and have a very convenient mounting solution in the process. Thanx for making this a one piece item instead of two separately purchased items. Yes it is pricey but well worth the wait.
