“Our baby was sleeping for 5-6 hours stretches at night until he hit the 4-month sleep regression and then started teething. I would nurse him to sleep/back to sleep, and that worked for a little while. We were already mindful of wake windows, bedtime routines, and ideal room conditions from reading Cara's blog posts, but did not use her newborn class. After several rough nights of our baby crying until 11:00 pm or later, we decided to start implementing the ABCs of Sleep.
As an educator, I love that Cara shows you the research behind her methods. I also appreciate that the classes give parents options to customize how they want to approach sleep training. I was worried about keeping my breastmilk supply up, so we took a slower path to eliminate middle-of-the-night feeds.
Almost from the start, our baby slept 10+ hours once he fell asleep, though he continued to fuss and cry for 15-30 minutes when we put him down. After four weeks, we added in the Conquering Naps component, and this has made all the difference! He naps in his crib and typically falls asleep within 5 minutes, and we are starting to see him settle down much more quickly at bedtime, too.
We are proud of our little sleeper and highly recommend this class to others.”
“Life changing for parents and babies! I actually took the First 5 months bundle and saw it do wonders with getting my baby to sleep through the night at 2.5 months with one dream feed. Having a strong sleep foundation helped him navigate 4 month of regression and also prepared him for the months ahead. I took the 5-24 months bundle to help with dropping the dream feed in a way that would not disrupt his sleep, and much to my surprise he slept through without noticing it at all in one night...no crying or waking! It was still good to have this bundle handy for peace of mind to have all the tools if I ever need through his toddler stage. I sleep trained my now 3 year old at 6 months using the cry-it-out method and although it worked I was an emotional wreck through that process, it was tough to see baby cry so much, that is why I wanted to try out something different so I would not have to have my other baby go through this. I found Cara for my second baby after a recommendation from a friend to avoid the pain in later months. And it has been WORTH EVERY PENNY, I see such a huge difference between the sleep journey of both my babies, I wish I knew of these courses with my first born it would have be been a much more pain free process for all of us. I am really amazed at how Cara has everything down to the science and explains every single detail and exception, what I love the most about using her methods is that it keeps you connected with the baby through their sleep journey. I have been talking about it to all my expectant parent friends and highly recommend this course to anyone considering setting a minimal-to-no-cry process for their baby whether you are a first time parent or experienced. It has allowed me the rest I needed to recover post-partum and be there mentally refreshed for both my kids everyday. I am happy, baby is happy, everyone is happy. Thank you Cara and team!”
“On the first night at bedtime our son cried for 27 minutes. We did 2 pop ins. Since then we haven’t had to do more than one pop in at bedtime and have done zero pop ins overnight. Our son puts himself to bed at naps and nights. He does occasionally wake up in the night but he is able to put himself back to sleep without intervention from us. He went from waking every 1-2 hours to sleeping 10-11 hours a night. We are all much happier and more well rested.”
“I have always been against sleep training. I have always felt that it was cruel and there was always a better more “gentle” option. Then I had my daughter…. I did everything in terms of gentle sleep support but from day one all the way until 9 months when I bought this program she slept terrible. She’d wake multiple times in an hour during the night, never sleep more than 40 minutes at most and she always had to be touching me. I dreaded nights and hated her naps. We were both sleep deprived and out of sorts all the time. I finally educated myself on sleep training after my therapist gave me a push to do so, and came across this program. I learned a lot of new information, unlearned a lot of old information and decided this might be what my daughter needed. Not every baby or parent needs sleep training but we did and my daughter did. Let this be a sign to anyone reading this that you are not bad for sleep training!! It might be just what your baby needs! My daughter now sleeps in her own room, all the way through the night and goes to sleep no problem, within 5 minutes. She naps amazing, too. She’s so much happier. Everyone has noticed the change in her. Thank you, thank you to this program!!! It has saved my mental health and helped my baby immensely!! my daughter is now 11 months and thriving!”
“Let me start off by saying I was very hesitant about “sleep training”. My heart was very much struggling with the thought of hearing by baby cry and not being able to immediately intervene.
Our daughters was such a great sleeper, even from her first couple weeks of life! Once she hit 13 weeks, she started waking up several times a night and it only got worse and worse.
In a effort to get everyone in our house some sleep, we tried Cara’s class.
Now I know this won’t be everyone experience but we moved our daughter out of our room into her nursery on night one, she woke up twice requiring one pop-in each and that’s was it.
It’s been over a month since then and she has an occasional night waking which rarely needs intervention!”
“Taking Cara Babies changed our lives!! As a twin mama, I knew I needed to get my babies on the same schedule as much as possible. Around 4 months, during the sleep "regression", my husband and I were losing sleep and our minds! I knew I had to do something. With some research, I found Taking Cara Babies and instantly clicked with Cara and knew it was for us. I tried to gather as much information as possible from Instagram and her blog, but (obviously) didn't have much time on my hands. I wanted everything easily spelled out for me with exactly what to do so I purchased her Navigating Months 3 and 4 Course. I listened while I did dishes, pumped, whenever I could! In just a couple of weeks, my twin babies were sleeping 11-12 hours through the night (and still are at 20 months old)!!! Fast forward a handful of months later, I wanted more guidance on how to transition our girls to their own room and cribs so I purchased her 5-24 Month Collection and I'm so happy I did! It helped us transition with ease, and I now have all the information I need for naps, traveling, and more! Thank you Cara (and team) for all you do and making our family happier and healthier!!!”
“My husband and I took Cara’s 5-24 month course and she’s right…it literally only takes 14 days to successfully sleep train your baby if you follow her steps!! Our baby cried a lot the first 2 nights but we followed the pop-in instructions and by the 3rd night she was crying significantly less before falling asleep. By night 13 she was laying down in her crib without crying and drifting off to sleep when she was ready. It was amazing. She now sleeps 11hrs/night and I finally feel like I’m becoming myself again too, I can’t recommend this course enough. Totally worth it!”
