“I'm a first time mom and a resident physician in my 3rd year of internal medicine residency. Waking up multiple times a night simply wasn't an option for me as I needed to be rested in order to safely care for my patients. We did the newborn class, which truly saved us in those first few weeks when we had no idea what we were doing. But my baby started to have a sleep regression around 3.5 months and was waking more frequently and taking longer to re-settle at night, so we started this sleep training process. We knew he was ready as he had already transitioned out of the swaddle around 6 weeks and he was already sucking on his hands/thumb to settle himself during the day. He took awhile to settle the first night (around an hour) but has been sleeping ~11 hours a night ever since and now usually takes less than 5 minutes to fall asleep. We did nap training at the same time and its been amazing to have nap time as little breaks for us during the day since he can now nap in his crib instead of always having to be held! We still take contact naps often, but having crib naps as an option has been a game changer. I recommend Taking Cara Babies to all my friends, but especially my physician friends, as having methods that are backed by research has made me feel comfortable knowing I'm doing the right thing for my baby. Highly highly recommend!!!”
“I felt hopeful as this seemed to be working for us for about two weeks and then my daughter began to regress significantly. We have stayed consistent, but it has not worked for the past few weeks. I am at a loss for what to do now, and I can’t justify the cost for the program.”
Hi Kelsey, I know regressions can feel hard. We want to help you get your good sleeper back on track. Please email info@takingcarababies.com so we can help you locate the section on regressions within your class. We want to be sure you have what you need!
“Worth every penny. We got in a bad habit of rocking our 18 month old to sleep every night. Then it was a tricky game of setting him in his crib without waking him up. We started following the Taking Cara Babies method to sleep training and it made all the difference. The first 10 days or so he would cry when we set him down in his crib. Over those 10 days there was progressively less crying. Then on the 11th day we set him down without any crying and he went to sleep on his own. Also, now when he wakes up at night he's able to put himself back to sleep. This has been a game changer for our family.”
“The TakingCaraBabies course was honestly the decision my husband I could have made. We went from getting up every 20-40 minutes to sleeping through the night! My favorite part about the course was the reassurance that sleeping training is ok and actually what is best for our baby. 10 out of 10 would recommend”
