It. Really. Works. I couldn’t thank the Taking Cara Team enough! This course has seriously saved our sanity. I was nervous when starting this course and wasn’t confident I’d cope with the emotional part of sleep training. But our baby surprised us, and I was worried for nothing. This course really works - you just have to be consistent and stick with it. Our little one is a big sleeper now, and I’m so thankful for all the great tips and learnings. Also, the way this course has been developed is SO good! I did many other non-sleep-training courses that use video content, and I must say, I couldn’t stop listening to Cara. I felt as if she was right there with us! 100% recommend.

I would say the ABCs of sleep are a life saver but it is frankly a life changer. The encouragement and details given in the course make all the difference of the outcome I think. There will be nights where it feels almost impossible to go through with sleep training, but amazing nights are waiting on the other side and it is so worth it. We are a month out from sleep training and can say that the payoff is incredible. Now our daughter can’t be rocked to sleep and wants to get in her crib right after her bottle so she can get cozy. Our daughter took 9 nights to be completely sleep trained. I would say 3 of those nights were truly brutal (the others just kind of fuss crying, not destress crying). Always do what works for you but sticking to TCB guidance as much as possible does make the process better and ultimately shorter I think. Our daughter sleeps for 11.5 hours every night without needing visits and has to be woken up most mornings and could sleep longer if we let her. Do yourself the favor and get this course

I bought this in hopes to avoid the whole CIO method. I had childhood trauma so hearing my child crying out for me wasn’t in my best interest but I tried anyways. The first night, my 11 month old cried and cried. There were only about 4 times I went back to comfort her. The last time I went back to my bed and tried to remind myself that this was the process. My husband came to me and without saying a word or seeing my face, he hugged me & I broke into tears. He told me it was okay if this wasn’t the way that worked for me & our child. This may very well work for others but you have to have the time to watch many videos. For a full time working mom, I find it hard to find time to complete this & only have hope that I would be successful at the end of many many videos.

Kelsey- I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. I noticed that you didn't have a chance to watch most of your class, including the sections that demonstrate all the ways to make the approach more gentle and hands-on. I would encourage you to check out the sections you missed, especially the "Customizing Nights" section and the gradual night weaning section. If you simply don't feel like it's the right fit, please know we would never encourage you to do something that doesn't sit right with your heart, and we do have a 30-day money-back guarantee.

*18 MO BABY REVIEW* TLDR: this course is magic, just do it. This is baby #2 - I didn’t have to sleep train baby #1 because he did as many first borns do and tricked me into thinking baby sleep was easy. This sweet angel had ZERO self soothing skills, co slept with us whenever he woke up in the evening (yes, evening - it was sometimes as early as 9:30 ‍), and this was after I rocked him to sleep for 30-60 minutes EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. As much as I cherished the snuggles, I wanted my nights back. And my bed. And my sanity. And to not fear suffocating him every single night. Despite Cara suggesting to do this with your partner, I thought better and waited for my husband to go out of town because the lord knows his tolerance for hearing baby cries is nonexistent. My baby cried for ONE HOUR AND ONE WHOLE MINUTE the first night. My dog and I were watching the monitor, crying on the couch, chugging wine. I did text all my mom friends, and bless them for getting me through it. I was so scared for him to wake up in the night because I knew I had nothing left in my reserves and I would give in and bring him to bed. The biggest surprise of them all - he slept through the night!!! I spent almost all of the next day counting down the minutes until I’d have to hear him cry again… 7 minutes people - 7 MINUTES of crying!! Night 3, it was less than 30 seconds. Boom. Done. Sleep trained. Not to mention, he has slept through the night every single night - you read that right, the baby with no self soothing skills, who had to be rocked and cuddled every nap and bed time, who shared my pillow night after night (for 18 months, I might add) has slept in his crib by himself through the night every night for over 2 months now. That first night was borderline torture - but I’m a mother, and I’ve done much harder things and so have you!! So saddle up, click buy, and prepare to sleep!!!!!!!!

This program has helped us SO much. Our baby is sleeping like a champ…WE are sleeping like champs! It’s so helpful as a first time Mom to have an idea of what the heck to do with sleeping and feeding schedules. My husband’s review: “ If I ever meet Cara, I would kiss her in the lips!”

I have taken all of the TCB courses from newborn to the 5-24 month bundle, and I’m SO glad I did. Every time I implemented a change based on the suggestions from Cara, it worked. My daughter took to sleep training real fast and rarely wakes and needs reassurance at night anymore. I’m finally sleeping, and I feel myself again-which means I can be the best mom to my daughter. I’m so thankful to this course and to Cara! If you’re thinking about investing in it, do it! What have you got to lose?! (Except maybe losing the aspect of waking up a million times at night)
