The class has been so helpful in equipping me to know exactly what to do and what to try to calm my baby and to start teaching her how to sleep independently. The knowledge in turns keeps me calm and reduces stress when dealing with baby. My baby is 7 weeks old and is sleeping 6 hour stretches every night for a week now. Would recommend this class to any parent!

I honestly was nervous to have kids to begin with, and was so overwhelmed in the first couple weeks of my son’s life. I loved him of course, but I was sleep deprived, recovering physically from giving birth, mentally and emotionally struggling, feeling trapped by my new life as a mom, and then feeling guilty about feeling that way at all. I felt like I had no control over our new little family’s life. My son was and still is a sweet baby, but sleep was such a struggle, and all of us were feeling the impact of weeks of sleep deprivation. I bought the First Five Months bundle on the recommendation of a friend, desperately willing to try anything to at least get us all some sleep. I am so glad I did. Within just a few days of practicing some of the techniques and a loose schedule suggested by the newborn class, my son was getting at least one four-hour stretch of sleep at night, which a couple weeks later turned into two four-hour stretches. Over the weeks his stretches grew longer and longer until he started sleeping through the night, without any formal sleep training on my end, at around three months. Our days also improved as we settled into a flexible routine with my son’s naps and feedings. We felt much more comfortable and free to leave the house and try new things with our baby because we knew better what to expect and how to plan our days. It was very liberating. I feel much less trapped as a mom and am enjoying taking my son with me to experience our life together rather than just mourning the life and freedom I felt I had lost when I had him. It turns out good sleep was and is the cornerstone of our family’s success. Thank you, Taking Cara Babies!

I feel like as a daycare mama, there is a lot out my control during the daytime, so I feel like this guide wasn’t the most helpful for me. Even before going back to work I tried SITBACK over and over again but my babe just wasn’t having it, which sent my anxiety sky high. Not all babies are created equal and unfortunately this just wasnt a fit for us.

After taking this course I was able navigate the first few months with a newborn so much easier! This course taught me about wake windows, and really helped me put together a schedule that worked best for baby and I. I recommend this course to all my soon to be mama friends.

With baby number 2 (3 years later) I thought I would’ve remembered most things. This was not true! After 8 weeks with baby and her crying on and off from 8-11pm most nights I knew I needed some guidance. GAME CHANGER! Baby is 5 months old and has been more/less sleeping through the night since she was 3 months old. So incredibly grateful for this course and it’s guidance. I don’t even care that my husband makes fun of our sound machines.

I used Babywise with my first kid and bought the Taking Cara Babies class for my second. I liked Babywise, but this course is even better. This uses some similar principals like the eat, awake, sleep rhythm, but encourages flexibility as well. Cara also provides tons of practical tips. This course has increased my confidence as a mom.
