“I was given one for Xmas as I am coeliac. I loved making it and it was fudgey & delicious , however I have bought these 2 to try again. I baked at the temp you stated and on fan. I feel maybe my oven is a little fierce, as before it was due out of the oven the outer was going really dark & almost burning but still slightly uncooked with skewer test in middle. So I am going to turn the oven down slightly this time & maybe throw a sheet of brown paper on top. See how I go but a delicious looking & tasty cake. Thank you. My husband is a sign writer so he handled the gold leaf beautifully with a brush , I would have made a total mess!.”
