For an old bike it's still very strong and pulls like a train. It hates city traffic as the clutch is very heavy and trying to find neutral at a set of lights to give your left hand a rest is impossible As a track bike, it's great. Not an every day machine but as a short Sunday burn up its just great.

Good Value for money . Owned it for 7 years. Comfortable especially on long trips particularly. OK in towns (bit heavy on wrists). (I am 6ft 4ins tall) Got all the goodies, Carbon Fibre, Ohlins suspension, OZ wheels etc. Just had new Alternator which is the only problem I've had. Great handling and stonkingly smooth V twin engine.and awesome front brake. Rear brake is not up to much but that is characteristic of the bike.(All rear brakes on RSV 2 are the same). Would only replace it with RSV4 !!

I have changed to this bike from a bigger one (Kawasaki ZX-12R) as I wanted something more nimble, less thirsty and better looking. And there you go - she fits the bill beautifully. Looked at some Ducatis but money there is off the scale and this one does not lack any of the Italian flare. I am super happy with the purchase and do not regret going for the Factory model even though it does go for quite a bit more. I love the ride however I would not really describe it as a European road trip bike, especially with the pillion. Great bike for a weekend spin. So far no technical issues, runs like a dream (might have to get the rear brake sorted though...). At first service I learned that the Ohlins forks are prone to leaks as they are designed with more track than road in mind and do not take the bumpiness well in a long run. As mentioned, rear brake tends to go numb. Will have to be bled (can also get aftermarket rear sets and relocate the MC which would sort the problem). Fuel economy is way better than my last bike but hoped for even nicer result, however not really a downside here as this is not a daily commute. First time owning a twin and really enjoy the grunt the bike has. Don't really care for speed of light travel as in reality this is not even possible or legal on public roads. The twin throttle response is way more fun and rewarding as is the sound and feel of the bike. I would definintely recommend it to anyone that is thinking of buying it. If you take pillions, this is the last of it as the RSV4 is a solo only. Have loads of fun whatever you do!

2006 model, Purchased from new 20K on clock now. Never suffered mechanical failure of any kind but did have a few issues with electrics at one point. Tall bike (which I like) - later models look more like 1000cc mini motos! .
