“as a born again biker 5 years ago i started simple, a bandit 650, just to test the water, after 8 months 0r so i was very hooked. so next was a cb1300, stunning bike but at a young 42 i needed some zing, i opted for a honda cb1000r which was again a lovely bike in every way buy lacked character, next was z1000 which had too much zing, it was like a scalded cat. all the while i wanted a aprilia tuono v twin which i got, sorry but bloody hell what a bike, torque to die for, light and comfortable, its so good i sold it to find a last low milage tuono r factory and it is outstanding in every way, fun factor of 11, very reliable and not expensive to keep, with italian look where ever i go with her she draws a crowd,”
“I had been looking for this bike for years, It has the character and personality that I have miss in my newer V4 Tuono.
When you ride these raw V twins you're never quite sure what to expect. One thing is for sure, whenever I take her out I always come home with a great big village idiot smile across my mug. She is now 11 years old and still has the ability to make me giggle. How many of you can still say that about your modern clinical bikes.
A truly ingenious alcohol fuelled Italian design masterpiece.”
“The Factory looks great and certainly stands out. With the Akrapovic (however you spell it) it sounds awesome to the point where you ride it in a way to sound awesome at the expense of economy. 80 miles per tank of noisy scragging through the hilly twisted or 125-130 behaving yourself.
The radial brakes and suspension are absolutely awesome giving lots of stopping confidence - put some metzler sticky track day tyres on for summer fun and knee scrapping.
Beware the plastic tank and rising ethanol content in petrol ....”
