“Underrated for a Harley, If you like a bike for just cruising round on that handles well for a heavy bike this is it. Only downside is Harley poor quality chrome work. Harley like to sell you a bike and then sell you another one with all the extras you should have had in the first place.”
“Is an amazing ride and for whatever you like. If you have the mood for a romantic ride or if you are on the mood for racing that baby can handle both!! Is the beauty and the beast at the same time.”
“I brought the Harley Fat Bob after a small venture into Harley ownership with the Fat Boy 1600, The problem with the Fat Boy is that as a rider more familliar with sport bike handling I was continually grounding out the forward facing pegs I had fitted after the footplates were found to be a dead loss for the same reason.
An MV agusta Brutale followed which i did enjoy but I found myself missing the seating comfort, attitude and fanomanal sound through open pipes, also I had fitted a sissy bar for the wife to enjoy the experiance too.
Two up I found the Fat Boy fantastic too and great for miles of travelling.
So finding myself in a Dealership I started to look around, still finding myself drawn to the Fat Boy I told my tail of peg scraping to the sales guy who pointed out the Fat Bob and its better ground clearance. It was true the BOB handeled far more sportaly and still had the comfort and seating position I had enjoyed with the Fat Boy. 1690cc through nice pipes sounds fantastic to an engine junkie and has loads of torque for lazy cruzing two up riding or swift overtaking. Love riding in jeans a jacket and open face helmet with face mask and sun glasses. It evokes in me everything I have alway wanted from motorcycling being more raw than other motorcycles I enjoy the noice, feel smell and how 80 mph feels how it is "Fast!" not just starting second gear as on a sport bike for example. More people in this time of rubbish roads, bad drivers and congestion should try a Harley,,,,,, and The Fat Bob satisfys my biking desire!! Ok the truth be told there still is a hankering for a rapid sport plastic tool for a sunny day of licence shredding fun but none the less I can Totaly recomend the Fat Bob as a great reliable engaging motorcycle. On a side issue too if it should matter to you Harley Davidsons of the larger type can hold and command good prices if you so desire to sell (Mines staying even if I get a CBR 600RR) lol Enjoy!!”
