“Had my bike from new in 1993 & it has done sterling service ever since although I admit that I am a fair weather rider these days.. Very easy to maintain & requires very few 'specialist' tools. Some say spares are expensive but I say if you have to ask then you can't afford it! On balance; rather agricultural but an excellent 'bike.”
“The bike has very few miles for the age and it still rides amazingly.
The bike has been completely repainted in metallic grey and has new alternator, new a/c adaptor and new battery. Recently serviced
The engine sounds and run fantastic.
Starts at first stroke every time”
“Really comfy to ride has plenty of power for the riding I do reliable and always gets people looking over it whenever I park .love it in garage now till bad weather is over”
“Despite all the grief you get about Harley brakes or lack of, the bike is a dream to ride. You just have to adapt your riding style like you do with any bike you ride. The Harley rider image is that of a Hog member running in packs when the sun shines and staying in hotels and being pretty well off because of the cost of any repairs or extras. I have had my Sportster for 15 years and go camping every summer whenever I get a week-end free. The bike can carry plenty of gear plus me and the missus and never misses a beat. The winter months are a bit different but it still fires up first time and feels safe and solid on all but the very worst of surfaces. The sound of the motor can not be beaten and the reliability of my ride is second to none. It has cost me nothing more than new tyres, oil and fuel for all the time I have owned it.”
