“Its as crazy as I am.
I get a numb bum after around 80 miles or so, but by then I need to fill up, so its a welcome break...
I've grown out of it, if am totally honest but, I can't let it go. Love it to bits!”
“Headlight broke and bearing in wheels and headstock went. Nothing major went wrong. Great handling with the engine to boot. Fast as any 600 supersport if not quicker due to the extra torque. Strong and smooth brakes. Corrosion on odd bolts and screws. Mainly due to salt grit on the local roads.”
“I had it for 12 months then sold it back to the shop where I bought it CMC who were very good, I thought. I am 68 and when I first bought it I thought it was great especially after owning a Kawasaki VN900. Big mistake. The Hornet had everything except comfort which I found unbearable after maybe an hour, but a laugh a minute hanging on red lining in third.I likened it to a GSR 600 which I had previously owned and actually thought had longer legs if you get my meaning. This was in 2006 and I bought it new from DK in Stoke again very good customer service. I rode it to Slovakia and also the Pyrenees but alas comfort became an issue on growing older. I now run a CB 750 it has highway pegs fitted to the engine bars which I find invaluable.”
