“A jack of all trades, a expert in non. But a very good all round bike that is very user friendly that has nothing to catch you out.
Good for anyone who wants to buy there first big bike”
“I had a MKI CBF and loved it, but there were a few niggles, the main ones being a high pitched vibration through the bars and pegs at motorway or dual carriageway cruising speeds. Also I felt the bike looked dated and just hated the twin silencers. When it was in for a service I took a MKII out for a test and was just sold. The handling, looks, performance, ride and comfort all better so I bought one. I have never regretted the buy, the handling is extremely good although the original fit BT57 tyres were crap. New T30's transformed it. It's a comfortable bike and touring on the continent was no problem. The power for the MKII is up by 10BHP over the MKI and it shows, acceleration is good, but not up to sports bike standards. Brakes are good but it does need that extra pull on the lever. It's the best all round do it all bike on the market.
Any problems? Not rally but there has been a couple of failures of the exhaust valve flap servo. A common problem apparently which can be expensive if it's out of warranty.
All in all a great bike, but Honda do need to do a refresh. Which is unlikely to happen. Rumours have it that this model will be discontinued.”
“Handles really well, it has plenty of torque throughout the Rev range. Great lights, brakes & very low maintenance. Very comfortable & easy to ride. A really fantastic all rounder.”
