“Be aware that this is a point of view thing. I am in my mid 40's. I'm not in a hurry but I don't hang around. I chose this bike because it is a good mid way point between a road racer and a scooter. 0-60 is about 4 seconds, I seem to beat every car off the lights and around the corners but I don't do that often. You can literally lean until the footrest is scraping on the tarmac on this bike because it is so well planted. It is a heavy bike for a 600, but that seems to help a lot with the stability. On the motorway it is about as comfortable as a sports touring bike can be, I have travelled 200+ miles in a day and got off feeling fine. The fairing does an excellent job off keeping the wind off my chest too. Finally - I spend very little on this bike, I service it at the correct intervals and that's it. Nothing ever breaks on it. It starts every time without trouble and it runs great every day (I use it daily for work). Also, I get about 35-45 to the gallon depending on how I ride.”
“I've had my bike 2 years it's been dropped but always starts goes really well when need a bit of speed corners great took it over stelvio and thro Europe great bike get lots of miles to a tank never let me down not to heavy great first bike”
“I have had many bikes in my time but this has got to be one of the best i have ridden but get yourself a better seat cause the one that it comes with will last about an hour before your backside turns numb and spoils the day out i got mine re dun and what a pleasure it is from the original apart from that the bike does everything you ask it not a super-sport but not a slouch either it`s twice the legal speed limit and some so all in all a good and i mean a good all round bike”
“The CBF 600 is a great utility bike in that you can use it for commuting, or slap a tail pack on and go for a trip, with great acceleration helps get you away from trouble. It's fairly simple to maintain at home and looked after with care and following the service schedule mine has been trouble free.”
“im loving it. engine sounds so sweet. my first upgrade from a 125, and am i glad i got it, yes. honda top box is very useful and colour matches fairing. Seat is adjustable to three different settings which means it can be made to suit different people. in the highest position it creates a gap of about 1-2 cm's between the seat and tank which is a bit naff but the chance to raise it to make it comfortable to ride outweighs the small visual anomaly. Im 6 foot tall.
Rides nice at 70 but start to feel a bit of vibration at 80.
Brought it second hand with 10K on the clock. I have done 3K. i changed the tyres recently and found cornering heaven. I think the previous owner must have been strictly upright at all times. Doesn't buffet about as much as my honda varadero 125 does in windy weather.oil filter fiddly as feck to remove. exhaust manifold has corroded to buggery but the pipes are still good. Bike is 11 years old and i got it for £2400. im usually filling up at about 150 miles. Front mudguard is too short so rain sprays back up at radiator.
It carries my shopping and gives me a thrill when i ride, i got a good bike for a good price , i like the look and sound of it and i am happy,”
