“After a 25 year break from motorbiking, where a 250cc was the largest I'd ridden, I bought my 18-year-old beauty when my friend was selling it. I've now had it for 2 years. It's a bit of a 'schoolmistress' (equestrian term) but perfect for me as it has renewed my confidence. It is reliable (started first time after not being used for 6 months), comfortable and I feel very safe on it. This is the 3rd Honda I've owned and have fallen in love with motorcycling all over again.”
“Bought this bike from new in 1997 but, for one reason or another, it hasn't been ridden as much as it should. The last couple of years I've been able to get out on it more (summer time only!!). For a man of my age (50) its a joy to ride. The power delivery is smooth and flexible - it can be ridden in 6th from 30mph through to 150 should you so wish. Despite my best attempts with negligence it has never let me down and seems pretty much bullet proof. Maybe it wouldn't suit any Rossi wannabees but for everyday use and enjoyment I don't think it can be beaten”
“As a bike that was years ahead of its time, it still gives enough to the modern rider. Useable performance yet still returns ~50-55mpg over long distances, it truly is an all rounder.
I bought a '91 33k mi SORN with light fairing damage for £250, spent less than £750 to renovate to a good standard and now have a great commuter vehicle. The choke can be a little temperamental at times and have to bump start occasionally.
Riding is a pleasure, it's sure footed and gives confidence without the feeling of invincibility.
8/10”
